Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to Ultra Index Invest (the “Service”). By registering, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Research and education only

The Service provides historical backtesting, factor research tools, and educational content. Nothing on the Service is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell securities. Past backtest results do not guarantee future performance. You are solely responsible for your own decisions.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risk.

3. User-generated backtests (UGC)

When you run backtests, you create parameter combinations (factors, rebalance mode, filters, etc.) identified by Run UID and Strategy ID. You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, and aggregate these runs to operate the Service—including shared indexes and future leaderboards that compare anonymized or public run metadata.

Factor choices are limited to columns available in our market data panels (FMP-derived fields in {INDEX}_prices.parquet). Additional factors may be added when new columns are published to the panel.

4. Acceptable use

• No scraping, reverse engineering, or attempts to bypass access controls or rate limits.
• No unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent activity.
• No misrepresentation of backtest results as live trading performance or guaranteed returns.

5. Data and availability

Market data, panels, and bootstrap parameters may change without notice. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, data accuracy, or completeness of third-party feeds.

6. Intellectual property

We own the Service, branding, and underlying software. You retain ownership of optional descriptions you submit; run outputs are provided for your research use subject to these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
