Ultra Index Invest (“we”, “us”) operates a quantitative research and backtesting platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services, and how we use it. By creating an account or signing in (including with Google), you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you register or sign in.
- Google Sign-In: if you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive basic profile information from Google (such as your name and email) as permitted by your Google account settings.
- Backtest activity: index selections, factor combinations, rebalance settings, run identifiers (Run UID / Strategy ID), performance summaries, and optional descriptions you submit when running backtests.
- Technical data: session tokens, approximate timestamps, and standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate you and provide access to backtests and delivery views.
- Store your run history and display results tied to your account.
- Operate shared research features (including public run indexes and future leaderboards based on anonymized or user-visible run metadata).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third-party services
- Google OAuth — sign-in only; governed by Google’s privacy policy.
- Convex — authentication, database, and file storage for accounts and job records.
- Hosting providers (e.g. Railway) — application hosting and infrastructure logs.
- Market data providers (e.g. Financial Modeling Prep) — we fetch market data on our infrastructure; your account is not shared with data vendors.
4. Data retention
We retain account and backtest records while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us (see below). Some aggregated or de-identified run statistics may remain in public indexes.
5. Your choices
- You may sign out at any time; session duration is limited (default 1 hour).
- You may use email/password instead of Google if both are enabled.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data where applicable law requires.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, authenticated APIs, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
